Just waking up to this, looks like the datacentre had an outage. I'll see if I can find out what happened. I was using it till 21:30ish last night.

Yep. Came back up about an hour ago.

Thankfully that's only twice in a year. Not the end of the world.

trader-eric wrote: Thanks Euler, I have been using it sometimes however been caught when I have placed a hedge exit bet (at the left of screen where you choose a profit, loss or scratch) with say 30 secs to go then have hit TAKE SP and realised I have to reduce my exit profit/loss to say $2.40 down from $2.56 but then have forgotten the SP button the 2nd time around (or 3rd). I then thought it may be handy to have a tool that automatically does this for you somehow when you change your price eg; have a tool setting default to TAKE SP option after hedging because in Australia with the volatile markets and bugger all liquidity IN PLAY if you get caught you really need it.
See this thread viewtopic.php?f=17&t=10058&p=84364#p84364 and the automation I provided. Load it up into Guardian. Should help you out.
Thanks gazuty, this works great after having an initial play with it, I just need to read through the manual now as I don't really understand Guardian yet or know for instance if i need to press that 'G' button before every session etc or if there's a symbol/sign on the ladder that confirms auto rules are on.
Your help is really appreciated as I've noticed your one of the few experienced users who offer advice when many forget when they were new to BA and prefer to talk about ancient history than lend a hand. I've done plenty of Trading over the last few years including the UK using Evo & Bots before a spell and when I restarted recently after Bf somewhat relaxed the TC rules I conducted a SWOT analysis revealing I needed to find software that addressed my weaknesses like getting caught In Play and here I am, Thanks again :D

You are well on the path to success. You have a willingness to learn. Many people do not have the ability to learn. Most think they know it all.

Test, check, analyse, tweak, repeat.

Thanks for the kind words gazuti...after testing it today and reading the manual I came up with firstly loading all the no TC races into Guardian every day then move to the automation tab and apply the TAKE SP rules you provided applying to ALL markets then click advanced settings to restrict refresh to the same 5mins either side of the start to restrict the markets being monitored and improve the refresh rate of the current ones, also I found I can now use this as my Menu and right click from there to go to the ladder...this I think may be the best way for now as I only trade the next race at the moment but I see now just how much more it can do! I used to overnight trade spruked horses from Fri to Sat or from early Saturday morning on Evo and Guardian would obviously be great for that too :)

End of the turnover charge?

This page has replaced the current "state and tracks" turnover charge page.

I would value gazuty's opinion on this before i get my hopes up because my first impression was maybe Packer was in this for the long haul ;)

Maybe this was Betfair's great big announcement that they were so looking forward to telling us all (traders).

I've heard that Betfair Aus has just broke even for the 14/15 FY and it is looking likely to make a profit in 15/16 so Packer has definitely turned it around.
