Wonder what effect CV will have on Brexit negotiations. Politicains and advisors falling sick on both sides. If negoatiations are hampered/delayed will we just drop out of the EU regardlesss on Jan 1st 2021?
So Brexit by virus.
Just highlights what a dickhead BJ is, putting it in legislation that we don't delay no matter what. Nobody could have predicted Covid-19 but any idiot can predict that unforeseeable things can happen. Was it really necessary to put NHS funding into law as well?

Just out of curiosity, at what point do all members of the EU have to take on the Euro, anyone know? (I dont want to turn this into politics) but I did read somewhere that it was a requirement... if true then would we have been dependent on a budget set by Brussels & given that they've said whatever it takes, we wouldn't be in a position to have an option to print our own currency.

I think this explains best what I was trying to say, would we have become a currency user instead of a currency issuer.

When you distill alcohol methanol evaporates at a lower temperature than ethanol and is drawn of first. It`s a clear liquid like ethanol so discarding a bit of what could be good spirit is a safeguard. Easy to pass off as the real thing. Makes good glass cleaner though.

I haven't used methylated spirits since I had a chemistry set but from what I remember it had a truly awful smell. How anyone can drink it is beyond me.

I do wonder whether the stereotypical Italian affection and intimacy is not helping here. Or has the Italian establishment basically given up, let it rip.
For sure the frontline must be absolutely knackered by now.

aka denatured alcohol, it smells quite nice imo, but it's poisonous, hence why they add a blue dye to warn you off it.
I mix it with boiled linseed oil for polishing wood turnings or with shellac for french polishing.

Italy has a very high percentage of smokers, male and over the age of 65. Apparently a smoker's odds of surviving are not very good due to their lung capacity being significantly reduced. Same issue with Spain.

But how does that square with an ageing population. I mean the logical conclusion is Italians have a healthy lifestyle. Therefore ageing population.
And smoking? Well.it kills people, it doesn't increase life-expectancy. So you can't have both smoking/unhealthy and ageing/longlived population.

don't know the demographics but ageing population can refer to the average age going up rather than people living longer (ie by having fewer kids or young people emigrating)
