People keep saying Corbyn won't be as 'strong' as May .....jeez this is a man who stood strong against the entire parliamentary Labour party for his principals! How much stronger do you need?

May swiched from Remain to Exit when the wind changed. I know who I trust to stick to their word.

Strong? I call it stubborn and arrogant.

You talk bollocks sometimes mate.

Corbyn and his principles?
Is this the same Corbyn, who was happily seen in the company of those IRA bastards Adams and McGuiness at the time of their terrorist activities?

Good, I want someone stubborn doing my negotiations. Not someone who changes their tune every 5 minutes to suit the audience and their own career.

....am I really the only person on here who isn't a right-winger?

You have to talk to make peaceful progress and I suspect that conversation extended beyond 'you talk bollocks'.
It's not about doing what's going to make you look popular, keep your friends close and you enemies closer.

There is a big difference between debating the issues and trading them

As soon as you get emotional about something, it nearly always becomes a bad trade.

It doesn't actually match any of the facts though does it? He's said Brexit is now a given just as much as May has and that free movement will be stopped too. Shame nobody listens. I'm doing my own thinking, not subcontracting it out to the tory spin machine.

I think I'm wasting my time and breath on this topic on this forum. Sports traders seem to come from the same mould as the City traders I spent so many years with.

ooooooh mmmmm that might get me black balled from this club.

ok ok ok I agree with you all, I'll say whatever you want if you'll like me (if that tactic can work for May it might just work for me ;) )

True enough, but it's hard not to get emotional about it when all these supossedly level headeed traders refuse to study form and fall in love with the best turned out.

really...that's my last comment on this topic.

Which one do you think is fourth from the left (or second from the righr)? The one at the extreme right is definitely SNP, the one in Green hates everything 20th Century ( hasn't come to terms with numbers that can't be expressed in fingers and toes - so nothing 21st) . The one in blue sees an opportunity, the one in red doesn't know there is one.

Doesn't matter - they're all from a different plant WATCH THIS :-

I was thinking there'd likely to be a rightwards trend - but perhaps that's just my own bias shining through

Just be thankful our old friend Ferru doesn't come here anymore, political threads would get him so involved he'd probably forget to have a shower in the morning

To make a serious point (I'm not here for an argument), looking at the Con manifesto on care costs...if anyone here has elderly parents, consider transferring their property over to you now. We did it years ago, it resides in a trust until they die so you can't flog it or lose it if you go bankrupt. It will mean that should the worst happen and they need expesive care, it won't be assessed as an asset. Mum's found great peace of mind knowing her final wishes have been carried out, rather than risking what various governments might do in the future.

As I said, not a judgement about the manifesto, just some advice.
