Who says trading dogs is a waste of time?

We've gone to the dogs.

I still consider myself in the 'messing around' stage of my greyhound bot, but it's done 2000 races and is up around £600 at the moment. So around 30p a race on average. Plenty of tweaking to be done.
can you give any hints as to what to be looking out for?

I've now got 3 months worth of botting data on the dogs to trawl through from my bot, just never find the time or inclination to go through it though. Think with dog bots it's always a case of tweaking things slowly though as the liquidity is limited and overall I've struggled to average £1 a market to be honest. But the profits have been very consistent over the months and the saving grace for the dogs is the vast number of markets daily so every little helps plus bots won't complain about the hours they put in.

I have no idea what method the OP is using but one thing to look for on Greyhounds is races where there is no clear favourite initially and there is allot of activity around 2 or more dogs trading near to the magical number 4. After watching a number of races that meet that criteria then you should be able to spot some interesting patterns.

Thanks for the pointers!
I am eagerly watching, hoping it'll come to me like a bolt of lightning. I can see big price swings on the 1st 2nd and 3rd fav. But still don't feel like I'm able to predict the direction or when.

Cheers Again!

Do the greyhound markets go inplay and if so how do you tell which ones as most of them seem not to ? Thanks .

Thanks :D

I created a very simple scalping bot that seems to be doing ok last night and this morning :D It is in practice mode at the moment but I will let it run for a couple of weeks and monitor it.... not holding my breath though

typical fare from yesterday, after 4 months im still learning everyday (some stupid stupid mistakes). Started randomly then used charts then freestyle. Now a combination of the 2 never tried botting yet.

Very consistent trading, mattdidius, if you can whittle down exactly why you enter and exit the market you should be able to bot it, or at least attempt to bot it.
