He might talk nonsense, but it's entertaining nonsense!

Nothing iffy about the race's running Jeff.

Good that it is getting major coverage, was trending world wide on twitter earlier. No doubt will be picked up by the Nationals and maybe the main news channels. Gives them less wiggle room!

In the sense that it puts pressure on Betfair to do the right thing, I agree.

But this may be an exception to the rule that all publicity is good publicity, and won't help Betfair attract and keep ordinary punters! :)

Still, it could be a fantastic opportunity for Betdaq!

You know who is going to pay for this, should they pay out ;)

I'm not so sure it is good :?

I doubt Betfair have an account with that in it, but the fact that have a house account with unlimited liability active in the markets would be a bit shocking.

I'm sure Betfair usually state in their accounts the amount of client funds held and it's usually around £200 Million. Maybe someone topped up for the xmas period :) Certainly more and more looking like a betfair glitch and the longer it goes on the more and more they're looking for a tight get out clause to cover their arse

Voided as expected.

"An investigation has revealed that this was due to an obvious technical failure which allowed a customer to exceed their exposure limit. "

I've never been able to exceed my limit and no doubt they'd expect me to pay up if I did.

I think they should say if the affected customer was infact, themselves.

Betfair is no longer a true exchange (since the pc and xm for profit). just imagine if something like this happened on a financial exchange... it would be a massive scandal and heads would roll. it smells a bit fishy and i hope we find out the real reason behind it.

Yes it does beg the question just how active are they in their own markets these days, Euler. I'm sure they're up to all sorts of tricks in preparation for the sportsbook.

No customer with any sense would have been laying that horse at those odds so no way what they say is true!
