It was a terrible match in my opinion, some good chances in 90mins but extra time was like watching one of those 3m4f+ chases on very soft ground where the horses are shattered and just plodding along to the finish line.
I have to say I think Croatia or England will be picking up one of the next 2 or 3 big trophies. Croatia are completely tactical and methodical, but it feels like the players are trying to carry Modric to a trophy while he's trying to carry them to one too, similar to Messi/Argentina in recent years, but I don't know if they'll get over the finish line.
England however have the same tactical and methodical approach, but are much more watchable with the likes of Saka, Trent, Grealish, Rice that can pull magic out of nowhere when it's needed.

Just practice your penalties just in case, Jesus Christ lads!

I actually think it was fascinating. Sure Croatia nullified Spain, but what other option did they have? A small country vs a footballing giant. I think Croatia did rather well and were a hair's breadth from glory. I would feel the same if it had been Ireland or Scotland or Wales vs Spain. Footy stirs up deep emotions and that's why i love it. I only get irrational when England are involved.Dublin_Flyer wrote: ↑Mon Jun 19, 2023 2:02 amIt was a terrible match in my opinion, some good chances in 90mins but extra time was like watching one of those 3m4f+ chases on very soft ground where the horses are shattered and just plodding along to the finish line.
