The latency spoils the enjoyment of the match. You know a shot's going to miss if the market hasn't been suspended.

There's no enjoyment to be had in Croatia v Spain, pure dross. I'm off to kip.

Brilliant job by Croatia to nullify Spain. Don't be surprised if Croatia don't snatch a winner or win on pens.

That's bitter for Croatia.
I don't know what the Croatian is for "that''s life". :-(

How time flies when you're having fun. I thought I was 20 minutes into trading a Brazilian Serie B match when the ref blew for halftime.

Didn't bother watching the match in end, feels like a good decision with time better spent doing nothing :)

Waiting for Canada v USA to start, CONCACAF Nations League, when I discovered that's a final as well!

It was a terrible match in my opinion, some good chances in 90mins but extra time was like watching one of those 3m4f+ chases on very soft ground where the horses are shattered and just plodding along to the finish line.

I have to say I think Croatia or England will be picking up one of the next 2 or 3 big trophies. Croatia are completely tactical and methodical, but it feels like the players are trying to carry Modric to a trophy while he's trying to carry them to one too, similar to Messi/Argentina in recent years, but I don't know if they'll get over the finish line.
England however have the same tactical and methodical approach, but are much more watchable with the likes of Saka, Trent, Grealish, Rice that can pull magic out of nowhere when it's needed.

Latvian match 9 seconds, Finland 5. You have to wait for a flipping match to start before deciding to trade it!!

I actually think it was fascinating. Sure Croatia nullified Spain, but what other option did they have? A small country vs a footballing giant. I think Croatia did rather well and were a hair's breadth from glory. I would feel the same if it had been Ireland or Scotland or Wales vs Spain. Footy stirs up deep emotions and that's why i love it. I only get irrational when England are involved.
