I don't get it sry
So even the jokes are political now too!
Well in January Sunak promised to halve inflation by the end of the year. At that time inflation was 10.7% so Sunak's target would be 5.35%. The current rate of inflation is 6.3% so it has come down by 4.4% (41%) so well on the way to achieving that 5.35% target. Do you feel the Government should not help the BoE to reduce inflation.
How dareth thee start a political discussion about inflation in the jokes threadfirlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 9:14 amWell in January Sunak promised to halve inflation by the end of the year. This is the jokes thread, not the UK election thread. The essence of the joke was, people responsible for spreading the virus by halving the cost of eating out, thinking you can eat for 30 pence, pinch people's bums without consequence, and are happy to allow thousands of bodies to "pile high", will be "taking responsible decisions". I found it absolutely hilariousfirlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 9:14 amWell in January Sunak promised to halve inflation by the end of the year. Sorry Kai but where do I post my disagreement with Derek's political (monarchist) 'joke'. I couldn't see a joke in it, I only saw it as a pure political and anti-royalist statement masquerading as a joke!Kai wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 11:53 amHow dareth thee start a political discussion about inflation in the jokes threadfirlandsfarm wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 9:14 amWell in January Sunak promised to halve inflation by the end of the year. You and nobody else I would suggest. Your (non) joke seemed a clear political statement so I gave political heckling! If you try to tell a joke and it fails miserably you must expect heckling.Derek27 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2023 4:33 pmThis is the jokes thread, not the UK election thread. It failed on you, and you didn't even understand it. How do you know it didn't cause any amusement? I've found jokes on this thread funny but I don't reply to every one of them. Only a live standup comedian knows if nobody found his joke funny.firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Thu Nov 09, 2023 8:25 amYou and nobody else I would suggest.
