Frustrating day, disappointingly small profit for three meetings that I usually to well at.

A runner has just caught my eye.

5.45 Kempton- La Fortuna. Currently around 29s.

The race is pretty weak, in fact very weak.

La Fortuna firsts three runs last year would be enough to be favorite for today.
However her first run this year she finished 8/9 then had another 6 month break before finishing 9 of 11.

What has caught my eye is the very long break between February and August. The FILLY has already shown form last year but when returned it had the tongue tie on for the first time.

If you were to watch the race in August the filly was hampered. She would have likely finished in the top 4.

What I find most interesting is shes racing tonight with another 65 days break. However tongue tie is off.

I am pretty convinced this filly has had a wind operation since her last run. I don't know for certain but I am pretty sure about it.

-The trainer has not changed the filly to run on turf. Always ridden on the AW.
- No change of distance. If the filly was running say 7f today that would give the impression there looking for improvement.

Everything is staying the same. This horse has had problems somewhere and their just trying to get her right.

Todays race is pretty wreak. Shes a 4 year old running against 3 year olds except the favorite.

All of a sudden running in a Classified stakes race tells me she may be back to form.

Dont trade this blind but I can see every reason money coming for this filly and certainly worth a couple of quid each way.

If I see money for it Ill be looking for a big swing trade.

I have found today quite tough too with a small loss. Bring on the Irish and evening meetings as I find that at least they are predictably unpredictable so I know what to expect. I really ought to concentrate purely on data analysis and setting up automated trading as sometimes i get it hopelessly wrong manually in that when I hold my nerve its the wrong thing to do and when I bail out of a position that's also the wrong thing to do! At least algorithms are consistent for the circumstances and I cant blame anything on my own fickle behaviour!

And the winner goes to a runner who has run every distance from 5f to 10f... yet had not raced on today's distance of 6f.

Smashed in and wins. Just didnt quite find the right coup in the race. Missed that one.

I think we have too many traders compared to the betting money.
Need more markets like the Aus stuff earlier where it feels like a genuine market

Same as me chaps.. some odd swings on certain races today I found.

I started off fairly steady then a few sloppy trades in the last few races cost me.
Frustratingly ended up with a tiny profit.

Hopefully tomorrow will be better!

This time of year markets can be a bit like walking across stepping stones so you just have to be extra sure it will support you before fully committing yourself to it while always knowing your escape route - those who take things slow and steady will be the ones left standing

PS well done on a 3rd good day Koratt your clearly picking the right stones :)
