can't get into today, some markets are giving me a right headache
Same here. Just trading at Lingfield today, movements are slow, doesn't seem to be much money in the markets.

past 48 hours I've basically got EVERYTHING wrong, I've gone from up there to rock bottom

Very weak markets today by all accounts. I'm not active today. I get the feeling you are often too desperate to get a green, some days are just crap so you should play it defensive.

I feel your pain. I've recently had back to back streaks of 25 gains, BOTH punctuated with collosal fuckups. Once is a lesson, twice is just being bloody stupid. I'll spare you the gory details (basically overstaking and switching sides, you know the story, trading 101 stuff). Mrs Me keeps reminding me of the long view and it's all true as we know, but it still stings.

....i wasn't even trying to keep the streaks going, that puts you in a 'grab a green' mindset....that way madness lies.
In fact I was almost hoping to have a small loss soon if anything. :)

It's funny how nearly everything goes right, or everything goes wrong in a day. There aren't many days in between !

I got stake dis-originated today; I lost track of my back/lay difference, resulting in over staking and closing for a loss.

well at least I can take solace in the fact that it wasn’t a very good day to get involved, reminder on note pad scribbled in to use today as a reference, just gonna put it down to (in)experience, over confidence, eagerness.. and stupidity, every day is a school day eh?, on to tomorrow

Too many of these fast twitches in the markets at the moment where it moves without any fill going in the other side

Are you letting it run into play to get some of those losses... or are you going 100% full in... just, even with a £100 bank some of those losses suggest you are taking outrageous risks... lets say you are working to 10% profit to your bank over the day, 3 of those losses outweigh that singularly.. one by quite some amount... how many ticks must it go against you before you cry enough ??

I only ask, because normally I'm out like a flash... which some will criticise as the market does meander, but I never want to find out how wrong I can be... you can always restart the trade, not so easy if you have a building liability...

You know, I really understand the temptation to chase after a bad loss... you've got to nip that habit straight away... the whole game is profit over the long term... you have no chance if you start altering the stake pattern for short term/immediate gain... patience mate... that's what pays off... which I know is easier said than done...
