Actual VAR audio here btw : https://www.premierleague.com/news/3718 ... 69410963=1
I need another look later but this sounds very strange at first glance, their boss Oli repeatedly telling them to delay and stop the game after the replay operator caught the error but the VAR guy refused to do it.Kai wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 8:07 pmActual VAR audio here btw : https://www.premierleague.com/news/3718 ... 69410963=1

It needs a full independent review undertaken as to it's suitability along with the PGMOL use of it IMO. It's in it's 4th season and there still learning on the job which isn't on.
Can't believe they said "Well done boys, good process." after that confusing exchangeMichael5482 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 8:40 pmIt needs a full independent review undertaken as to it's suitability along with the PGMOL use of it IMO. There's kids playing Fortnite that have cleaner comms
I think the outrage over the Liverpool VAR shows what a success it's been and the high expectations its attained. One cockup amongst thousands of decisions over a communication problem is surely better than the countless obviously wrong decisions that would have got through without it?
Dunno anymore. Ironically the Diaz goal would have been flagged offside anyway by the linesman, even though it wasn't even tight.Derek27 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 10:58 pmI think the outrage over the Liverpool VAR shows what a success it's been and the high expectations its attained. But then again the linesmen are used to having the safety net of VAR by now so usually aren't under big pressure to get it right the first time. Like I always said that part should probably be automated and stopped right away, too many fake goal celebrations etc.
Will be interesting to see if Liverpool escalate this further now and whether other clubs back them.
Perhaps a league table for incorrect referee and assistant referee's wrong decisions. The guys at the bottom of the table get relegated to lower division matches.Kai wrote: ↑Tue Oct 03, 2023 11:18 pmDunno anymore.
