Some people didn't get the reasons for Brexit, many people are not getting the reasons for Trump
In a nutshell, it's 'Political Correctness'.......people have had a flipping gutful of it.
In the west, we should have the freedom to say what we like about anybody, that's our right. Nobody should ever be brainwashed or gagged.
Perfect illustration was last week, when Louis Smith was banned from UK Gymnastics for 2 months, for taking the piss out of Muslims in a video. After everything he has done for UK Gymnastics, and winning medals at 2 Olympics. Do you think Mo Farah would have been forced to make a stomach churning apology on video, and then banned for taking the piss out of Christians? Everybody across the West are sick and tired of this shit, and they are fighting back.
This is what led many to vote for Brexit, the same with Trump
Today is a great day

Congrats to everyone that bet on trump. I lazily left my position open and lost quite a bit. Luckily that is more than offset by gains in gold, and since last week I was out of the stock market so no harm there. Overall I'm a happy man.
Trump said he will leave daily business up to Mike Pence, and he himself will concentrate on "making america great again". Meaning: he'll make some laws that favor his casino's and other businesses and let Pence rule the world.

There are plenty of guys to do that for them!dublindapper wrote:Women better watch their pussies
I think a protest vote is understandable, but it seems the west is using the political system like some reality TV vote. Let's do this for a laugh and see what happens.
At the end of the day the US just elected somebody with no political experience with an unusual world view into office.
I'd imagine the next thing to happen is that Russia and China will look to widen their influence in their regions knowing that the west is totally impotent at the moment. I'm pretty convinced of that.

Don't underestimate Trump, he's far more switched on than people give him crdit for.Euler wrote:I'd imagine the next thing to happen is that Russia and China will look to widen their influence in their regions knowing that the west is totally impotent at the moment. I'm pretty convinced of that.
He's going to have key personnel behind him, advising him on foreign policy. He's more confrontational than Clinton, so I actually believe that Russia and China will be more wary of him than Clinton. Putin would have seen a woman president as a door mat, he'll be more nervous of Trump, as he's unpredictable

Florida was the decider, effectively.Zenyatta wrote:Interesting that according to CNN the popular vote was actually a dead-heat, with both Clinton and Trump at 47.6% - in fact Clinton may have won the popular vote!
What did Clinton in was the losses in a few key swing states.

Don't think its a question of underestimating, many people would simply say he's not qualified to be president among other things.LeTiss 4pm wrote:Don't underestimate Trump, he's far more switched on than people give him crdit for.Euler wrote:I'd imagine the next thing to happen is that Russia and China will look to widen their influence in their regions knowing that the west is totally impotent at the moment. I totally agree, the disaffected really need to find a less destructive way of registering their protest. Another victory for the crass and the wreckless.Euler wrote:I think a protest vote is understandable, but it seems the west is using the political system like some reality TV vote. What's next, Keith Chegwin for North Korean leader?
Not at all, it's just a sign that centralised politics is coming to an end across the West. There's nothing wrong with that, Political Correctness is to blame for everything I hate in the modern world. Clearly, I'm not aloneShaunWhite wrote:

Let's face it Clinton was a weak contender. OK she had experience, but was a redneck going to vote for her? Democrats put history and a political dynasty before an electable candidate. She looked Ill for most the campaign and wouldn't stand much of a chance against Putin.

I'm with ya! Can't stand the hand-wringing liberal nutters that think Blighty should be the world's dustbin and who love to take offence of behalf of minority groups! Yes Gary Lineker and Greg Rutherford - Im looking at you!LeTiss 4pm wrote:
