...Gold may be the only safe haven.It's fascinating, globally we've reached a tipping point, almost a level of awareness that the public will no longer accept the current distribution of wealth or wider economic model. Unbelievable that the next US president is effectively a protest vote against the establishment. Trump is not a politician, which is obviously a key part of his appeal to the blue collar workers in the US. Globalisation in its current format is now being challenged as the transfer of manufacturing and services from the West to the East has effectively led to socio-economic decline in many parts of the western world. The flip is that the large corporations have become ever more wealthy increasing the divisive nature in the world typically reflected in politics and social unrest.
What does all this mean!? I guess technology and new understandings of the world around us will continue to drive opportunities and create new industries. Personally I think we will begin to question the value of the capitalist model in our journey through life, though that is an entirely different conversation!
