Not so bad after all. The English leagues 1 and 2 are trading okay.

Another impressive scalp for Colombia last night with a 1-0 win over Spain in London. The goal's worth a look.

There's some terrible football being played at Anfield this afternoon if anyone's interested

Ajax started strong but look exhausted after 10 minutes

Indeed. Henderson, Saka and Palmer also unavailable.

England was at the then top of its traded range yesterday afternoon. I was ready to back at 2.08 in the expectation of a shortening price with punters doing their patriotic duty in the run up to kick-off. Sky Sports News announced Kane's absence just as I was putting my orders in. I cancelled them.

I'm not involved in the market now, although I am curious to see if the price will drift further when the team line-ups are announced.

EDIT: 1753 on the evening of the game and the price has come in to 2.04!

Still fairly strong. Thought may have seen more debuts.

More debuts = more risk. Imagine if Gareth blooded somw youngsters and England get hammered. The media would have a field day. I like Gareth, not enough attack but I'm not sure who might be better. Is there an attack-minded, media friendly English manager out there? I think we've done the foreign manager thing and (much to my disappointment) it never worked.

Anyone know why England players are wearing black armbands?

Thanks. No wonder I couldn't think of any recent deaths or palatable tragedies.

Under 0.5 looks good to me at 6.4.

Not with 'Liability Maguire' still on the pitch.

I think Betfair may have tweaked their penny-pinching scumbag algorithm. I made about 15p on each of two markets where I was expecting to break even!

Brazil's price was quite generous with hindsight.
