Hi Ladies and Gents,

is it me or are the horses markets behaving differently since the meltdown of the BF software last Sunday?

I haven't been able to get a handle on them, this week, but can't make up my mind whether or not that's the psychological effect of the "big hit" my bank took, or an actual change in their (horse markets) behaviour.

Cheers, P

Markets seem to be in kind of swingy mood in last few days for me. They also respond very well to weight of money, that's what I feel. Maybe just try to watch a bit more to get better feel before getting involved.

I think it was harder towards the end of last week and I'm really not getting an angle on today so far, markets seem to have loads of money about but I can't seem to see many good opportunities, bit jumpy for me at the moment.

Delays never help either! yeah the money seems to be all over the place today. Been caught out on some fast moves preventing me from getting any decent profit.

Today is my most miserable trading day in ages, none of the markets are responding particulary well to anything.

I'm getting exactly the same. Mon and tues they were pretty good but today they are awful. They are all over the plae and choppy as hell. If I go much further backwards I am calling today off!

It seems to me that this is one of those days where for every £1 of real money there is £3 of spoof money. Why do things differ so much some days, its not like monday and tuesday were full of high quality races or the constructions of the fields are any different today??

I feel the same, there seems to be very little real money in the market. I can put in a small order on one side and the market panics and bolts away from it. I can't get anything reasonable filled and when I do it's tricky to close. Other than that it's great. I am with jimrobo on this one, I am thinking of just throwing in the towel, it's painful!!!

Instead of trading markets you feel uncomfortable with why don't you spend the day finding cheltenham festival winners which will bring a tear or two to the eyes of the crowd.

for example you may want to cast your eyes at the world hurdle (horrible title) and see if there are any opportunities lurking. Always remember northerner's rule and southerners don't see them coming.

Glad I am not the only one - I struggled to read anything with any great forsight.

Might have been better closing my eyes, spinning the mouse and then clicking - think that trading at random today may have been a good strat :!:

Low liquidity and races clashing/very little time to trade next race usually means I can build no rhythm.

This is really strange because I found yesterday really hard and had the worst day for months but today I'm about £340 up and for me that's a great day.

very odd?

I made a small loss today which could have been more if I had not stopped trading at 3.00, the markets seemed crazy, I felt lost today.

I think this graph sums it up nicely, the markets just wouldn't stay anywhere. Very jumpy, very jittery and difficult if you are trying to scalp.
