Sad news for traders from Slovenia. As of friday 28th of October 2016, Betfair will be closing their Website (and API) for their Slovenian costumers....

Any ideas what happened?

We need to find a broker but don't think they work with Betangel. That would be better than nothing anyway.

I'm always incredibly annoyed when Betfair exit countries like this. I know it's not all their fault, but we seem to be going backwards in terms of the adoption of the exchange. It's a much better way of betting than traditional means but governments and corporations are pushing people into much worse methods and it's crazy. It just doesn't make sense.

Could not agree more, players are safer when using a platform like Betfair, at least they have a guarantee their money won't be stolen since the company makes money with winners.
All these speeches about "protecting our players are utter BS anyway.

Just asked this broker Betfair Brokerage Service
They don't support softwares, apart from that they have all Betfair markets and volumes apparently. I may use it to do hedging, better than nothing I guess.

Only alternative I know is this broker, however the major weakness is they don't support the use of software so I very doubt it would suit you to trade horses :(
They do have every Betfair markets though with same volumes.

BetinAsia is an alternative to open a Betfair account. Minimum deposit is 5000 (£/€). As for Bet-Ibc you can use your bot.

Betfair told me recently that they will not be deleting existing SLO accounts. They also said the following:

"No bets, registration or funding should be accepted from residents or customers physically located in the country/territory/province. This means that IP blocking must be implemented, and the country removed from the registration dropdown box."

The solution should be obvious. If it's not then I suggest you consult with the person who opened this thread before you start opening new accounts through shady brokers.
