digital radio delay????

Is there a delay between analogue and digital radio's as there is with TV pictures?????

Hi rogerpalmtree,

I would say almost definitely yes. I remember looking into Wimbledon last year and listening to a match on Radio 5 using a DAB radio and it was definitely a couple or more seconds behind the anolog BBC pictures.

You can easily test it by listening to Radio 5 on analog & a DAB radio together. If you don't have a DAB then let me know and I'll test it for you later on today.

I actually have the opposite problem in that I got rid of all my analogue radio's a while back, but either way if you could let me know what the results are that would be appreciated. I may have to go out and "downgrade" my radio!!!

OK, just tested this on both Radio 1 (national radio) and a local radio station. Both analog signals were approximately 2 seconds ahead of the DAB signal.

So you better go and get downgrading
