Greyhound Ratings
If found the following sometime ago but never really looked into it. Someone might find it helpful.
Assumptions
- All dogs running in the race ran the same distance and grade last time out. If thats not the case then skip the race or adjust using other methods.
Values
- An output rating value of 50 points.
- Track records for a particular distance.
- Last race time.
- 1 length = 0.066 seconds.
- How many lengths the dog was beaten by last time out.
- A value of 1.5 ratings points is used for 1 length.
Formula
- 50 + [{Track record - Last race time) / 0.066} - Beaten lengths] * 1.5
This should give each dog an accurate rating for the upcoming race. Does that mean the dog with the highest rating is going to win, no, does it mean that the dog will shorten in price, no. Is it of any use in the real world, no idea.
Have fun and dont use money you cant afford to lose.

I also think that numbers 2 and 3 have good chances of winning. Number five will not win the race, I also agree with that.

Word is, a Fox got hold of the Hare. Track Manager made one of the loaders dress up in bunny costume, but the dogs weren't having any of it

They're seeing more bot activity, the sign being that #transactions is up while the £/trn is down. Overall vol just seems to be following seasonal variation but year on year June20-June21 UK dogs are actually down about 15%/Mkt. But it's certainly a hell of a lot better than last April/May

That is a foregone conclusion Shaun And how was your day on the Grey market, in comparison.

If you look closely you can see where I've used PaintShop (it's actually £711.86)The Silk Run wrote: ↑Sun Jul 18, 2021 12:14 amThat is a foregone conclusion Shaun And how was your day on the Grey market, in comparison.
...was a good day actually, above avg wages and non-stop sunshine. Makes all those tedious hours at the keyboard worthwhile.
