She then proceeds to explain what that means: "In a roomful of a hundred people similar to you"...
I'm trying to imagine what a room full of a hundred people similar to you would be like :D

A rant warehouse? ;)

What is the flipping point of Bluetooth headphones if you have to hold you head in a precise position to make contact with your laptop?

It's a throwback to the 1970s when the youngest sibling had to hold the TV aerial so his older siblings can watch TV.

oh, such fun twiddling with the 'vertical hold' and 'horizontal hold' too.

Massive contradictions in Tuesday's weather!

I can see what the discrepancy is. The MET office illustrates thin, high-altitude cloud as cloudy.
In second thoughts, the MET office got it right. High-altitude cloud is cloudy. All this crap about Great Yarmouth being hotter than Malaga - I bet there are no clouds over Malaga!

Back to trading for me. No point in wasting my last ten years sitting under a cloudy sky. ;)

That brings back memories. Without meaning to sound like the four Yorkshire men, kids these days...

Send your clouds to me. Intended to walk 2 miles to Morrisons today. As I passed my local co-op I thought, can I really be bothered? Can I even make it to Morrisons?
So I capitulated and went co-op. 25 mins of walking and I was dripping. Yuk!
It has been sweltering here. Which for me is 28C. I just can't hack these temps. At least give me a gradual build up FFS. Not 18 to 28 in a few days.
Sorry. Mr Grumpy has taken over. But at least this is Mr Grumpy that recognises his gripes are pretty feeble by global standards.

I know it's not BA's fault but it's annoying when your offsets can't go in because the match gets suspended.

If you're watching the news and struggle to understand what was said, the obvious thing to do is rewind the tape.

If you still can't understand, you rewind and switch the subtitles on. The only problem is the subtitles are 15 seconds behind the video, but even though you're watching a recording, whatever's controlling the subtitles tries to catch up and flashes right through the bit that you wanted to read!

FFS, is there any point in fast-forwarding subtitles?

This is news now?

Hitchin pupil finishes school with 100% attendance record.

The Beeb needs to look at their output. It's becoming more and more tablod and banal.

Sorry to be contary, but if a pupil finishes school without a single day of sickness, never mind bunking off to watch the Cheltenham Festival, that is truly mindblowing. :)

Are we talking secondary school, five years without missing a day?

I can't flipping get anything right tonight! Bought some chicken breasts and frozen veg, then realise I forgot to put them in the fridge/freezer until I need to cook them, so they've gone in the bin. Decide to cook a chicken and bacon burger instead, grab a pack of foil to line the grill pan only to find I bought flipping baking paper instead of foil. :x
