Most of us are just using our homemade bots with either excel or BA's guardian functions. Think there's a few people using Guardian on this thread

The lesson, never focus on the negative because you will always find it. Just stay focused on your objective and keep moving roughly in the right direction.
Best thing i have read in a while!

I salute that!

For my bot, should I green up near the end or let it run as a bet? It feels like it shouldn't matter from an EV point of view, only greater variance if letting it run?

Download your betting history from your bf account, open it in excel, filter out all Back bets and find out if your pure Lays are more profitable than hedged ones.

Don't know if relevant but forgot to mention I'm really just talking about if you take just one side, ie you are just on the back side with one bet and haven't "traded" out with a lay. I think people would call this a value bet? Hope this makes sense still not down with the vocab

If it's profitable in a long run, then, yes, it's a "value bet".

You (your bot) have a back bet in the market, I think you have 3 options.

1. Do nothing
2. Green up
3. Take SP

I'd like to here peoples opinions/thoughts/advice on what's standard In this scenario or perhaps it doesn't matter to much.

Did they void the bets/trades on the race? I recall a few years ago I had a succesfull trade on a dog race but Betfair forgot to suspend the market and voided all bets.

They settled as usual no voided bets, was settled at 10.33 so doubt they'd even noticed they suspended late.

It seems likely they settled it as normal as they managed to suspend it before the race finished. I think in my case they had forgotten to suspend it altogether.

That is a damn nuisance when a dog meeting is delayed and you only learn afterwards and you've been trading that meeting.

Depending on a few things but:
1 is more expensive than 2 in terms of commission
2 is more expensive than Reverse Greening
