Does anyone know how far behind reality Australian racing coverage on Foxtel/Austar is and, if there is a delay, how significant it is, and whether there are any channels that might broadcast faster over tinternet or otherwise.
I guess it doesn't matter if pay TV has a delay if it is the same for everyone. But this stuff in the news about Racing NSW and new regulations governing the on-track use of laptops has got me wondering.
TV delay?
There is a delay of some sort but nothing significant. I don't know of any faster streams being available.
There is however a large delay during the commercial networks Flemington spring carnival coverage. As they have exclusive rights to broadcast the races in to homes it makes any in play betting unworkable in my opinion.
The new legislation regarding laptops on course is a joke.
