Firstly whilst i am posting thank you to Dallas for all your excellent contributions especially the automation rules. I have used and as recommended tweaked them and a learnt a lot very quickly by doing so.
My question is this: It may sound counter intuitive but is there a way of setting a stop. I am playing with a basic lay strategy and i would like to close the lay bet when the price has shortened (to minimise loss). I have tried greening + stop options but that results in a back bet should the price drift (which in this test I don't want). I have also tried cheating the greening by entering stupidly high values to leave the stop active but this does not seem to work either.
I have also tried separate line rules including the below and variation on them:
General>close trade On Selection - Fixed odds condition>Current / lay price / is less then /X
General>close trade On Selection - Close trade profit condition / is greater then / £-xx.xx
General>close trade On Selection - Green All profit condition / is greater then / £-xx.xx
Non of them seem to trigger when the circumstances arise.
Circumstances= if lay bet (with no back involved ) is falling rapidly can i trigger a stop.
Any suggestions welcome

You need to test for a profit condition less than minus nnnn.

After checking today there is no problem with the rules its me. I need to set additional conditions. My rules where triggering but before the bet was placed so there was nothing to green/red. I think i need to use a matched bets condition in-conjunction with the rule. Ideally i would like bet angel to place the bet only against the horse it selected for the lay bet.
How do i specify that the bet apply's to the same runner e.g the runner is selected according to my criteria by guardian - guardian then places my lay - i then want guardian to offset that bet with a fixed odds condition value set on the same runner as a fail safe.
