Thanks, I didn't see that because I've dumped Twitter, I crawled out from under my car at the weekend and got my phone covered in Waxoyl for ...
"I can see a huge electrical storm in the distance from here. Just checked the Radar and it's over Milton Keynes, about 60 miles as the crow flies. Must be a belter."
Peter, have you thought of having a personal Twitter as well as the business one?

thx, I can check it there, but I won't get alerts to the 'as it's happening' useful stuff.
Ha, listened to Peter mention about compiling a football database from Rothmans year books. Back in the mid 1990s I built a FoxPro database by manually entering football results from about 20 years of Rothmans year books which I bought from 2nd hand book sellers after finding them for sale on the early internet. An extremely tedious and boring manual data entry task. I then did a fair amount of analysis on score sequences with a view to cracking the fixed odds market. Problem was there was a 10% betting tax back plus the bookies margins to overcome in those days and the best I could achieve was about break even so I ditched the idea as I was doing pretty well in my career. Obviously Peter was more successful than I was (no surprise) but it is interesting to know that there was more than one crazy fool with roughly the same idea but someone made it work.
