getting the impression the longer points are hurting medvedev more in this one.. just a question of whether grigor can keep it in play for long enough.

Against nearly anyone, I would tend to agree. Andreescu and probably Halep (as she's been for the last few years), maybe Osaka would be the exceptions.
She really seems to be made of stern stuff, especially for her age. And enough of it to withstand a comeback rally from even Serena.
