Help … I need some clarification and guidance please.

I'm using a Coupon in Guardian to load markets, my parameters are …

Soccer events with Match Vol > 10k
Soccer
Match_Odds
Filter by Traded Volume at [Market level]
Show only markets that will turn in-play
Show only markets that are currently [NOT In-play]

It works fine :) except :( I'm happily 'doing' the Chelsea and Arsenal games and think "Let's just run the Coupon selector again and see if any of this evening's games have hit the £10,000 volume filter" and on clicking "Add & Apply" it doesn't! :? It "Applies" OK and finds other games but it doesn't "Add" … it overwrites! :( Chelsea and Arsenal have disappeared! I realise they are now In-play but the Coupon says Add, not obliterate! Anyway I thought I had a workaround if I have two Filters within the Coupon finder, one searching In-play and one NOT In-play but that doesn't work because that finds all matches that exceed £10,000 volume In-play! Even if I add back the 'lost' matches manually I lose all the Guardian history for that match … automation, log.

How can I find all games that exceed £10,000 volume at the kick-off and keep them in Guardian as I re-check for more qualifying games through the day?

Is this the solution?
  • Change the Coupon finder rule to load all and every football match that meets the criteria except remove the requirement for at least £10000 volume.
  • Add a Condition to the rules placing the pre-play bets that the Volume for the market should be greater than £10,000 (as initial bets are placed 1 minute before scheduled kick-off this checks that the Volume is of the level required before placing any bets).
  • Add a Signal when bets are placed pre-play.
  • Add a condition to bets to be placed In-play that the pre-play Signal has been set.
This would seem to do it but it sure leaves the Guardian Markets List cluttered, imagine Saturday! I can use that as a work around but is there no way around a Coupon "Add" removing existing Markets?

On the settings tab of the coupon editor

For the ‘Reapply Filter’ option set to ‘Only when coupon changes’

It was set to "only when the Coupon changes" Dallas. That would have been by some default, I haven't changed it but I think I can see what the problem is, I have been 'refreshing' the Coupon so I think that is what is causing the removal of the In=play matches. I didn't realise the Coupon automatically updates the Markets List (that's what I think the User Guide is saying :) ). So the solution is to set up the Coupon Filter and don't touch it! Yes? :) Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Doesn't seem to be working Dallas :( The (current) Coupon Filter rule set is …

Filter by Event Type
Soccer
Filter markets by market Type
Match Odds
Filter by Traded Volume at market Level
The Traded Volume for the market must exceed £10000
Show on markets that will turn In-play
Show only markets that are currently NOT in play
Filtering options: only when Coupon changes

(I've attached the file below).

I assume the coupon is active in Guardian as I ran the filter and it did as expected this morning. It's still active in the side pane. I then left it alone but on checking now no new matches have been added but some over £10,000 volume can be seen on the Betfair site. It found 4 matches this morning and with my Guardian Markets list sorted in Start Time order the last is Florentina v Sampdoria timed for 20:00 on Wednesday but it didn't pick up Barcelona v Villarreal nor Brescia v Juventus both for tomorrow. If the two "missing" matches were there all the time why did it miss them or if they were below £10,000 this morning but passed that level during the day why did it not find them when updating? Was I right to think it will self update or is there a something else I'm doing wrong?

It won't search them automatically you need to perform the search, when you do it again ensure your Guardian coupon settings are as below so as not to remove any from the coupon already in-play

After you do a new search you can just click 'add and apply' and any new markets will be added any already in-play will be kept in your coupon
