Kind of weird to see Rummenigge appointed in place Agnelli. Rummenigge is against the Bundesliga 50+1 concept. He presumably believes it has hampered Bayern (2019-2020 Champions League winners). Whats that all about?

Probably just worried about Leipzig who are very clever in how they circumvent the 50+1 rule. Teams like Dortmund, Leverkusen etc... aren't consistent enough to really challenge Bayern's dominance but Leipzig will be very soon you would think.

Süddeutesche Zeitung did some digging into the story : https://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/super ... duced=true

Copying the main article points from elsewhere:
  • Putin asked Abramovich to withdraw from ESL because of Gazprom links with UCL, because 2022 final is in Saint Petersburg and because Zenit needs to be in the best competition
  • The money came from Saudi Arabia, JP Morgan was the middle man
  • UAE asked Man City to withdraw because they try to build a progressist image of their country and don't want to be associated with Saudi Arabia
  • 50 million has already been spent in marketing and legal fees by the 12 breakaway clubs
  • Florentino Perez and his construction company signed a 6.5 billion euros deal in Saudi Arabia, to built the new Saudi "Las Vegas"

No matter how hard you try to regulate. The more the football serpent squirms. But I really would would like UK football to have a regulator. Sadly, it would be named offoo. Oh dear!

Some things are clearly more important than staying at home to help the NHS.

They can take our freedoms, privacy and other human rights away
They can lock us indoors and stop us from seeing our family
They can destroy our kids social development and the careers of millions of young people
They can spend our tax money on security guards, apps that don't work and multiple billion £ PPE contracts with Chinese businesses
They can force us and our kids to wear masks all day and take experimental injections or be excluded from society
They can put 4.7 million people on an NHS waiting list

But they will never take our football

I like to keep an open mind

and drag that open mind away from LFC for two minutes and lay Man City at 6/4 to win it.....you're not finding better value than laying a genuine minimum 3/1 chance at 6/4 very often, listen to Carl for once and fill your boots ;)
Missed your chance for easy money, Sunday night / Monday morning was the time to get involved. City went from 2.5 ish out to near 4 and came back in to their current price of 2.50! Nice trade for anyone else who got involved.

I should have focused a bit more on PSG though, they came into 2.26ish before shooting back out past 4, all of this without a ball even being kicked!

There are always over reactions in situations like these because punters/traders are making decisions based on data they don't understand but think they do. Yeah I should have been on the ball and deserve a slap lol

But 6/4 is STILL a huge value lay and an implied 15% will do very nicely. That's about as wrong as Ricky Hatton was to beat Mayweather at c11/8 iirc

If leipzig challenge Bayern I would be stunned. They have dominated that league for 40 years and only twice in all that time have they been even semi challenged and that was dortmund 10 years ago but that was only down to klopp and before that SV Hamburg c40 years ago.

BM are an absolute monster and are now the world's 3rd richest club ahead of MU. To challenge IMO is to do what City have done and permanently reshape the landscape and not what BD did by winning back to back bundesligas as impressive as that was BECAUSE Bayern are about to make it 9/9 since then

Time will tell of course but Leipzig are much better positioned than any other German club to challenge Bayern going forward. Not just in regards to the 50+1 rule, they have a network of feeder clubs and its impressive how they attract young talent by giving them contracts with relatively low release clauses.

Time always tells of course and leipzig have done amazingly well but overcoming the behemoth that is bayern is something else. I would love to see it happen because 9/9 is a joke of a league in terms of interest. I liken it to lowering your handicap in golf. Going from 36 to 10 is far easier than going from 5 to scratch. The higher up you go the tougher it gets. My money is on bayern and in this instance the "trend" is most definitely you're friend IMO

Looks like huge protests tomorrow from Liverpool fans as well, despite Klopp and Henderson fully backing the owners today.

They're talking about punishing the men behind it as though it was a failed military coup!
