First thing I thought off after hearing about him testing positive is if he'd been spotted at any events or parties over xmas and how many come to light before Monday morning

That won't help is case. Looks like they're playing the ignorance defence though. Yes he tested positive the day before but he didn't yet know he tested positive.
Janssen is single dose. Gives him a shot at 21 now and would get him into Roland Garros if Macron is playing hardball by then. Also would help his popularity as falling into line with the majority. Not saying he's going to do it...... just saying.
