Strange behaviour with low stakes

Hi all

Can someone with better knowledge of Bet Angel please explain to me what happened here?

I suspect it's something to do with my trying to use stakes below normal Betfair minimum stakes, but I'd like someone to please explain the technical mechanics of how Bet Angel handles this situation (if it is, indeed, a result of using small stakes... it may be something else).

I'm testing a new automation. I often use low stakes with new automations to ensure they work properly for a while before increasing stakes. In this case, I have an in-play automation set to back a runner challenging the leader. No problem with the automation doing as I expect. What *is* strange, however, is that the back should be for $1 and was, instead, placed for $5. This automation works most of the time with no issues.

Today I had a situation with Wolves where my automation fired as I intended and should have placed a $1 fixed amount back bet on a challenger. This didn't happen. I can see from my trigger count that the rules fired, but there are no bet entries in the logs. The only reference in the logs are some cryptic entries, as follows:

18/01/2022 08:33:53: [G_Auto 1] : An error occurred while reducing bets: The entire order has been rejected.

These times are 1 second out from the trigger firing, so I assume these are where the bets were attempted.

What actually happened is that there were two successful bets made for $5 each at 1000 (which is where the runner had temporarily spiked). Nowhere in my automation am I using $5, nor am I using variable stakes. The stakes in this case are a fixed $1, no offset / greening. So, Betfair received and accepted two bets for an amount that is not in my automation, but Bet Angel didn't log that a bet was placed or attempted.

Just for reference, here's an example of what I would expect to see in the logs. This is from an earlier race at the same track, with the same automation:

18/01/2022 06:31:52: [G_Auto 1] : $ 1.00 Back bet placed on Desert Lime at 2.96. Fully matched at 4.7. Ref: 256119xxxxxx ( Fill or kill bet with 2 seconds delay. )

So... what happened here?

One question remains though:
Why weren't the bets logged?

Follow-on question:
Is there a way to enable verbose logs so I can see all Bet Angel actions?
