There was a BBC program about it, the bunkers hold huge food and water stockpiles. The water can be recycled using reverse osmosis systems for showers, toilets and kitchens. The bunkers look kinda like mega underground carparks. Once the outer doors are sealed they can survive for 6 months self contained. They also cantain anti-contamination rooms and a field hospital. The infrastructure behind them is rather impressive. Plus they obviously care about their citizens. In comparison, the UK and allot of other european countries have NONE!!!!!Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 12:23 amSurely it's better to get incinerated and die quickly than starve to death in a nuclear bunker?Archery1969 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 06, 2022 11:58 pmI didn’t realise Finland has enough modern nuclear bunkers for 3 million of its citizens.
That’s what you call planning!!!!
All their crops, food supplies, infrastructure, etc. will be destroyed.

Whitehouse security advisor says they have no intelligence or global indications Russia is about to use Nuclear weapons but if they do it could quickly lead to world destruction.
Not something you really want to hear when eating your morning rice crispies.

So they'll survive for 6 months, but what then? All their cows, sheep, pigs and crops are destroyed, there's nothing left to survive on!Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:09 amThere was a BBC program about it, the bunkers hold huge food and water stockpiles. That said, I wouldn't mind spending my last 6 months with a nice Finnish bird.
You could just stop the sentence there.Archery1969 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:13 amWhitehouse security advisor says they have no intelligence

They interviewed a government official on the same BBC program about that. He said they have plans in place for life after. Although he didn't say what they were. I guess they have been planning for this for decades as they share a large border with Russia and basically hate them.Derek27 wrote: ↑Fri Oct 07, 2022 9:13 amSo they'll survive for 6 months, but what then? Putin getting ready to launch tactical nuclear weapon.
Sounds interesting… let’s play Predict The Headline.
My Guess,
“Putin, I will win this war by hook or by nuke”.
