The minimum stake for a back bet at SP is £2 (or the local currency equivalent). The minimum liability if laying is £10 (or the local currency equivalent).

That's the min bet, but not min sp bet. But both still £10 min liability (or payout} though, so to back 10p @ 100/1 or back 1p at 1000 is fine.lotora wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 1:13 pmThanks!ShaunWhite wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 11:40 amhttps://promo.betfair.com/betfairsp/FAQs_theBasics.html

There's a difference between an 'SP' bet which is now a minimum of £1 on BF, and an open position with 'take SP' I have found.

My experience of open taksp bets below the limits back £10 payout, lay £10 liability, is they will lapse unmatched at the offCrazyskier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 6:22 pmCrazyskier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 6:22 pmThere's a difference between an 'SP' bet which is now a minimum of £1 (previously £2) on BF, and an open position for pennies when entered into the market with 'take SP'.

All unmatched backs, no matter how small, with Take SP selected, will get matched at BFSP. I've been doing it for years. Lays must be £10 liability minimum.goat68 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 6:26 pmMy experience of open taksp bets below the limits back £10 payout, lay £10 liability, is they will lapse unmatched at the offCrazyskier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 6:22 pmCrazyskier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 6:22 pmThere's a difference between an 'SP' bet which is now a minimum of £1 (previously £2) on BF, and an open position for pennies when entered into the market with 'take SP'.

I was confusing the minimum limit order bet amounts (prior to doing any cancel & move)
Have they changed the rules? I've had greenup back bets with BSP persistence not matched in the past. I assumed it was because it was less than £2.weemac wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 7:14 pmAll unmatched backs, no matter how small, with Take SP selected, will get matched at BFSP. So to Back using TakeSP with 1p is easy, you just back 1p at 1000.0, as that's a payout of £10, so is valid. I suspect if you tried to Back at 180 TakeSP with 1p it would lapse unmatched.
