Don't tell Derek but the Telepgraph is reporting that "Boris Johnson is being tipped to become the next secretary general of Nato"
Putin would love that, having an even bigger liar them him leading NATO.

:D :D :o :o
The missing element being "By UK's Conservative Party". Puts a different complexion on the statement doesn't it.
They would love to get him out of the way. He could retire to the Isle of Mann and he'd still find a way of bringing the party down. :)

Given both candidates have ruled BJ out for a senior job it would seem implausible that he could wnd up as head of Nato.
Lets face it. His incompetence has caught up with him. It's OK larking about on panel shows and as Mayor of London, and I accept fully his team where brilliant on vaccines. But his tenure has been negative headlines one after another. It will though be interesting to se where he rocks up next.

Given many think gas prices are going to go even further through the roof because of what Russia is doing I strongly believe someone is going to take Putin/Russia out.

There is no way anyone can expect t to be government to give everyone another £600, £800, £1,000 or £1,200 in October. It’s just madness.

Russia is deliberately inflating wholesale prices.

I think the crunch will come when it really starts affecting Germany.

Sanctions won’t work properly for another 3 to 5 years.

Time for military action, come what may, price worth paying.

Nuke the fcukers and worry about stuff after.

Normally if you speak to somebody, make the content of the conversation public and they lose their job as a result you'd be riddled with guilt.

But when you're a news reporter and that somebody's a politician it's a whole different kettle of fish.

Whats all this rubbish that the new PM / Government needs to prioritise insulating every home in the UK ?

"The cost to retrofit a typical family home to net zero standard is estimated at about £26,000. This is based on an analysis of work by the Climate Change Committee – a body of experts that advises the UK government. Multiply those 26 million homes by £26,000 and the overall price tag is £676 billion"

That shounds really cheap :o and basically is never going to happen in my lifetime.

Having frozen my bollocks off for ten years in a flat with drafty windows, there should be housing legislation that deems such dwellings as not fit to live in. That said, the cost should be on landlords, not the taxpayer.

Homeowners on low incomes should get government help to insulate their homes. There's no need to go the whole hog but double glazing and wall insulation should be standard.

If one of the contestants steps down, does the other become PM immediately?
