Hi Bet Angels,

When I want to dutch race via the Betfair website, i can select a couple of horses after which i can click the 'stake' button between odds and profit, fill in the amount I want to bet, say 10 pounds, and Betfair will calculate the amounts that will be bet for an even return may one of the selected horses win...
If I use a bot, making use of the book % does not do what the 'stake' button on Betfair does, is there any way to mimic this? The book % (to me) makes it difficult to predict the amount the bot will be playing...

Hope you can help!

Regards, Simon

I never have issue if I'm using current best odds stake £10 via book%. You may need to attach logs to see how it's placing order.

Thank you!
This is what my automation did, 10 pound book %:

Selection Odds Stake (£) Bid type Placed Profit/Loss (£)
1. Silverhillrachel 11 0.90 Back 24-Jan-24 16:27 -0.90
4. Salems Stanley 10 1.00 Back 24-Jan-24 16:27 -1.00
2. Chanceme Ron 4 2.50 Back 24-Jan-24 16:27 -2.50
3. Nolas Special 8.60 1.20 Back 24-Jan-24 16:27 -1.20

At the same time I used the 'stake' option in Betfair (for the picture), the liability would have been (almost) 10 pounds, which is what I intent.. Using the book % my liability only comes out to 5,60 pounds... How would I get an automation to do what is shown in the picture?

Cheers!

Short answer is no

There is a Dutching tool in Bet Angel which gives you various staking options when manually placing dutch bets including the way you can on Betfair and overriding profits of individual selections

Example of the advantage of variable dutching and overriding the targets profits (2nd post)

The automation tool doesn't have any of the dutching staking methods found in the manual dutching tool, the closest option is to stake by book% as you have been doing
This page of the user guide how its calculated but your going to need to change it for each market depending roughly what odds your selections will be getting backed at if you want to win the same fixed amount each race/market
