Expected instances in blue.
Are the red processes critical? They're using resources @ idle.

Presumably the Edge processes are the 'Desktop' information portal of each instance ...?
They seem to remain running in the background even if I switch tabs e.g. to 'Log'

Can I prevent the Edge embed from running in BA somehow / delete Desktop / or even just force close these safely ?

Thanks

Ive noticed Edge uses masses of memory on its own just with a few windows open. I close it down completely when I have BA running.

Correct. We don't have control over the way Edge runs when embedded in an app, but we can add an option to the betangel.exe.config file to allow you to prevent its creation at startup so that you can have Bet Angel without a Desktop if you wish.

the config file fix would be perfect! if I didn't still have load headroom I'd try uninstall Edge completely from the server as presumably the rest of BA would still work

In general I don't get any edge instances when using BA. Maybe it is because I rarely use the BA desktop to access links? Was surprised to see so many on your screenshot.
