1,500 crossing of the Channel since Starmer took charge and the deficit on his targets is mounting every day. It's like Kemi explained to Angela, it's not as easy as you think (and claimed). Yes, it's only been a couple of weeks but how's the recruiting going for the Border Force? And all the time the deficit is building. The failure of targets is going to be sooooo entertaining!

It's not the Government I'm not happy with, they haven't been around long enough to earn an 'unhappy' tag, it's all the promises (lies?) made with the suggestions their way is obvious and will solve the problem. Kemi related to Angela the reasons why it's not as easy as she/they inferred (re housebuilding) and that the 'other bunch' were useless. The numbers move so fast that you don't have time for all the consultation periods etc. the Luvvies insist upon. Leaving aside whether Rwanda would have worked or not look at how many illegals arrived while the Luvvies were playing lawyer games so by the time Rwanda could have gone ahead the problem would have been thousands larger.
Labour's new Border Security Command is a case in point, let's just wait and see. I think it will be a case that they just haven't thought through their proposed 'obvious and easy' solutions to the problem ... it fits the bill of Peter's "I have a solution, vote for me" theory.
Bit naughty firlandsfarm. You should wait 14 years until you can pursuade us that the incumbents are self-seeking idiots that can't even select a competent PM from their own midst....several times!firlandsfarm wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 11:23 am![]()

Just use 'Active Sports Topics' if you want to avoid getting drawn into any political threads. That's why we put it there: -
search.php?search_id=active_topics&topicstldw=sports

Can that link be added to the Quick links drop-down?Euler wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 3:20 pmJust use 'Active Sports Topics' if you want to avoid getting drawn into any political threads. That's why we put it there: -

It's also worth utilising the 'foe' list. Put someone on there and you don't have to suffer seeing their posts.Euler wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 3:20 pmJust use 'Active Sports Topics' if you want to avoid getting drawn into any political threads. That's why we put it there: -

Don't see why we should wait 14 years, are you saying I should wait 14 years before before commenting on something said in the last few days. I guess if I did you would respond with "what are you talking about, that was 14 years ago!"! But I can see why you would want me to wait 14 years before passing comment but I can see why you are so desperate to protect them!greenmark wrote: ↑Sun Jul 21, 2024 3:14 pmBit naughty firlandsfarm. I'm confused, some seem to think I have done/said something wrong. May I remind people this thread was posted under the "Political betting & arguing" section of the forum. Funny how people didn't complain when the Conservatives were being criticised but I guess that's to be expected from Luvvies!

Oh well yet another version of pointless fatuous threads against the Conservatives bringing the forum into disrepute and sowing division being acceptable but against Labour and the Luvvies club together to protect their politic darlings!

Don’t panic, Reeves has to explain to Parliament at the end of the month on public sector pay rises. If she gives some above inflation at 5.25% then she going to have to give the rest the same. But that won’t work with junior doctors who want 35% and Mick’s train drivers who want 14%.
And the new government has just given the green light for 3 new solar panel farms. 2 of their own MPs have raised concerns with locals also threatening legal action.
Who is building the solar panels, apparently slave labour in one of the Chinese provinces.
Hold your hat as it’s going to be FUN FUN FUN all the way to the money tree on that hill.

And to cap it all potentially there is a new pandemic emerging in India with a 70% mortality rate. It’s spread from fruit bats to pigs to humans.
