A jolly good Christmas present!
This should make a big difference to traded volumes. Will encourage people back in.

Absolutely perfect for traders like me.....people who have been on BF since the early days, who have earned a steady income, but not a fortune. The lifetime profits were killing off the likes of me. It's only my sheer bloody mindedness that kept me going
I think it's a really important point, one that I've been keen to push to Betfair during this process.
It takes large amounts of people out of the former PC altogether and reduces any additional payment for most existing payers.
More importantly there is no lifetime limit anymore, so that's a massive positive.
Obviously not everybody can pay reduced fees, but it's massive step forward and should encourage more activity in the markets.

Just going through it now, it seems if you earn above but close to £100k then you may as well have a couple of months off and get it down to below £100k so you pay only 20% instead of 40%
Obviously this will bring in players who gave up due to PC when earning £25kish a year but the bigger earners will probably pay a bit more due to implied commission going from 3 to 2.5%.
Overall I think it’s a good idea to bring people back and it especially rewards people who’ve given up as they’ll be on no Fees for a few months.

Looks as if it's only one rate, so you're better off earning 100k than 133k....
I can see why they've done it but moving implied commission from 3% to 2.5% is actually going to make >100k PA 40% PC payers on 2% worse off
