Someone really wanted to lay that at SP lol
Australian racing
Prizemoney way too good in Aus, BC is a fraction + all the travel costs etc, they only come to Ascot for the prestige
Prize money is pretty impressive, tonight's Grade 1's to the winner for each race:
£2,277,372
£1,518,248
£759,124
£759,124
£759,124
£759,124
£379,562
£379,562
£379,562
Costs are pretty much all covered I believe:
"*Travel Awards: $10,000 is awarded to all non-California starters in North America and $40,000 is awarded to all starters outside of North America."
A Breeders Cup win from a breeding perspective is worth a lot.
Japan send runners so surprised Australia don't.
They could realistically only win the Turf Sprint which is £380kPDC wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 7:08 amPrize money is pretty impressive, tonight's Grade 1's to the winner for each race:

The Aussie bomber got his 10k bet up in the last at Penola, Im sure he will be keen to play on the harness and dogs.

Did they target many races prior to the last at Penola? Also did they carry on into the harness and dogs?TipTopTrader wrote: ↑Sun Nov 07, 2021 6:48 amThe Aussie bomber got his 10k bet up in the last at Penola, Im sure he will be keen to play on the harness and dogs.

They where there most of the day. Not some much on the dogs and harness, or should I say a smaller amount per race. Its great when I have already a open back postion and get that extra push.
Do all of you on here also trade the UK markets? How do they compare to the AUS markets pre-race, and what hours of the day roughly are you trading the AUS racing? I trade the UK racing pre-race and I've been interested in giving the AUS markets a go too but I have a 1 year old, so the hours probably don't suit me!
Quite a few trade both, though UK based people won't tend to manually trade Australia everyday, there are only so many hours in a day. So they focus on the better opportunities which are Saturdays and to a lesser extent Wednesdays. There is also the option of the Friday night racing from Australia.kerza wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 8:04 amDo all of you on here also trade the UK markets? That would be a good option for you to try as they don't require getting up at stupid o'clock. Almost every Friday morning UK time between now and Christmas has Friday Night Australian racing so it is a perfect time for you to give it a go and get a feel for yourself what the differences are.
Also if you are up early the is quite often some tail end Australian racing most days and Wednesdays and Saturdays can also have some evening racing.
This is a good site for you to plan you calendar by seeing what fixtures are coming up:

Thanks for your response. Friday mornings are doable for me so I'll have a look at the AUS markets this Friday and see how I get on.PDC wrote: ↑Wed Nov 10, 2021 11:06 amQuite a few trade both, though UK based people won't tend to manually trade Australia everyday, there are only so many hours in a day. Thanks also for the link to the fixture calendar.
Make yourself familiar with the NSW Turnover charges for both Racings and Trotters/Pacing if you plan to trade any courses in NSW so you don't get a surprise charge. Information is available on the Betfair website.
Thanks for highlighting this, I'll have a look over it before I look at the AUS markets.
