Premier League 2013/14
I'm fascinated seeing how it works out
In 3 years at Real, he failed to deliver the CL, which is probably deemed a failure.
There's a saying that you should never go back to an ex-girlfriend, or boyfriend, as it's never the same 2nd time around, so he has a great deal to deliver
Interestingly, he won the CL with Porto & Inter, but at the clubs where he had shedloads to spend - Chelsea & Madrid, he missed out. I'm not sure if that's a coincidence, or whether there is something in it

Premier league is now around £1bn ahead of rival leagues in Europe in terms of revenues.

What a coincidence for these top 3 teams. There's really no certainty now, though upon Mourinho's appointment I've seen some bookies started to put Blues on top. Looking forward to a massive EPL seasonEuler wrote:New thread for what should be a really interesting season. Top three all have new managers and are all priced at 3's or so, so anybodies title the market is saying.

A market I've always dabbled in is Relegation.
I've had a couple of cracking greens on this market
Over the years, I've noticed teams who have a terrible finish to the season, quite often continue that into a new season
On that basis, I'm looking at 8.8 for WBA as good value. Their star player Lukaku has returned to Chelsea and West Brom went into freefall towards the end

Yeah, Lukaku is going back to Chelsea and West Brom could lose most of its attacking power and life support. Did you make a lot last season? On which team?LeTiss 4pm wrote:A market I've always dabbled in is Relegation.

Current transfer rumours
Chelsea will have to spend £80m to land Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney, 27. The package would include £28m committed to a transfer fee, with his five-year contract on £200,000-a-week wages costing £52m. (The Sun)
Barcelona are prepared to sell midfielder Cesc Fabregas, 26, to Manchester United but the Red Devils must break their club record transfer fee and pay £31m to make it happen. (Daily Mirror)
Everton midfielder Marouane Fellaini, 25, will choose Manchester United over Arsenal should both clubs make a bid for him this summer. (Evening standard)

Im thinking about dabbling in these markets and a relegation promotion market strategy based on a potential big upside if something unforseeable occurs eg expulsion, points deduction.LeTiss 4pm wrote:A market I've always dabbled in is Relegation.

I see the markets on betfair will be voided if more than the number of "winners" (usually 3) are relegated, disqalified or thrown out of a league once the season has started.
Is the Betfair rule standard across all bookmakers/exchanges? I guess most FAs try and sort these matters out in the close season but can anyone provide an example of this rule being invoked?
Thanks in advance
