Hi guys. I'm new to the forum, so first of all, hello to all.

I'm also pretty new to automation on bet angel but I am pretty much getting the jist of it, although I can't quite seem to iron out a small issue if anybody a bit more experienced would be kind enough to point me in the right direction.

Say for example I am setting up a simple back the favourite automation rule for a particular horse race. So, I choose Back Favourite as rule name, Place back bet for rule type, with pricing parameters to suit, ie stake and custom ticks.

So that is all straight forward enough, but I want the automation to select fav just before off at my requested price and then to keep the trade in play until my desired price is matched. I have tried the following but as you will see below, it is not quite going to plan:

* Rule trigger times, relative to event start time, arm trigger at 1 sec before event start time until 5 mins after event start time, with and without an in-play condition
(Using this format the automation selects Fav fine at the price I want, but then doesn't keep / pulls my request as soon as event goes in play)

so to get around that problem I tried this,

* Rule trigger times, relative to in-play time, arm trigger at 1 sec after event goes in play until 5 mins after event goes in play, with an in-play condition.
(This all works fine other than it "only sometimes" selects a horse that wasn't the starting fav, ie due to a bad start by fav or the volatile market right at off. Obviously, selecting a horse that was not the original fav is totally against me trying to back the fav so is unhelpful and goes against my system)

Therefore, how can I just select FAV say 1 second or 5 seconds before event start time "but then crucially keep the trade live when event goes in-play" for whole of event ie say 5 mins after event goes in play.

Thank you in advance for any help or advice, Paul

There's a seperate rule "Keep all unmatched bets", I would think you need to run this immediately after your 'Back rule'.

Hi Neil. Thanks very much for your reply. Do you mean I would need to create and run a second rule alongside my initial one or can I do that as part of original rule via a condition (have had a good look but couldn't find "keep all unmatched bets" anywhere)? Cheers
