Hi guys!
Just wondering if any of you have tipsters that you follow to spot steamers?
Obviously I understand and realise that one generally will not make a profit simply backing these tips, but surely if enough punters jump on on the recommendations of a particular tipster as he/she names her nag, that could cause the odds to come in enough for a swing?
Second questiion/topic for debate, I have recently (at the recommendation of a member here) subscribed to Pacecards, which has helped my trading immensely! I'm now considering trying out Betfair's Timeform service where you pay £70 monthly for detailed race cards covering every UK/Ireland race. Does anyone have any experience of this service, and/or any other service providing pace and form information, or anything else that has proved useful to your trading?
Any tipsters worth following? Any other services you use?
Problem with tipping services is trying to get on quick enough when there released, you would be better waiting till much later and laying the ones that have been seriously over backed through the day closer to the off time - Hugh Taylor is a prime example, his selections often get backed way to low then drift back out nearer the off.
Wow, thanks for the tip! Proform looks good. How much does a platinum subscription cost? (It doesn't say on their site).Zapata wrote:Hugh Taylor on At The Races website has proven tipping success going back to 2009 with a profit each year.
Both Timeform and Proform are good, my preference is Proform due to the system builder.
That's a great idea! I'm pretty sure that happened today with Western Hymn. Heavily backed due to the naps and obviously having Frankie Dettori riding it. But then right before the off the price drifted right back out, catching a lot of people out!Dallas wrote:Problem with tipping services is trying to get on quick enough when there released, you would be better waiting till much later and laying the ones that have been seriously over backed through the day closer to the off time - Hugh Taylor is a prime example, his selections often get backed way to low then drift back out nearer the off.
I generally back-to-lay but I may start using this theory (over backed naps) to get better prices on 2nd, 3rd favs...
I pay a single payment of £950 a year, but that was fixed to never change when I started with them a few years ago. Best email Simon and find out new start-up prices.skotten84 wrote:Wow, thanks for the tip! Proform looks good. How much does a platinum subscription cost? You can take out shorter periods as well.
