Hi I'm fairly new to automation

I would like to do the following..Lay BSP Fav/ FAV in running @50
I could use the same file for place markets too

Is there any suggestions and how profitable is it likely to be?

From bank 250

Looking for daily profit of 50

Many thanks.

Creating an automation file is pretty easy the only problem with automation is that you are not guarenteed to lay at 50 at the end of a races odds change very rapidly so for instance you could place a bot instruction to lay at best market price if favorites back price is greater than 40 (or last traded price if you prefer) and lay price is less than 60 but doing this may lead to races being missed or if you leave the lay price condition out you could be laying in the hundreds

With regard to the system will it work my gut says no however i looked at todays results and no fav traded at 50+ and won so it might work it is very easy to check on the betfair results page previous results so laying at 50 profit margin with a bank of £250 you probably dont want to risk it all so probably best to stick to £2 lays at first so to make £50 you would need to win 25 races in a day to bank your profit but if you have one loser you will be £50 down on the day and two losers £150 and three losers your bank will be gone

So you will need to do your research to see if this stratedgy works

Thanks duggs for your comments.
I've done something along of this

Lay bet @ fix odds 46 with fix stake £3
Order of 1 favouritism

Timings 0.01 to 10.00
Tigger up to 1
2 second reaming

On conditions of

Yes its inplay
If order of favouritism of 1 historic odds is now 30

Does that sound right.. I don't wanna offer those odds of 46 on the fav until its drifted to 30 +

Many thanks.

I had nothing better to do this morning so i went through all of mays horse racing results to find out how many times the favourite traded at 50 or higher and won and surprisingly in the first 8 days and 345 races the answer was None !! however 3 traded at 32 and 1 traded at 22 so you might have a profitable system on your hands personally i will paper trade for the next couple of weeks to see if it is still profitable

so can you still make £50 a day on £3 a lay Possibly

8 days 345 races
Based on Favourites winning 40% of the time if the bot works as plans it should produce appx 200 winning lays at £3 (£2.85 if you include 5% commission) so that would be £570 profit in 8 days and average of £71 a day pretty good you could even have 3 50% "winners" and still be in profit the only question as i mentioned in my first post there is no guarentee that your lay at 50 will get matched every time i might try it later today to ultra low stakes to see how often it does get matched

I think the issue will be getting matched at those odds.

Hi thanks guys might look at trialling it with odds of 40.

Does the automation above look roughly right?

Try changing this to: Fixed odds condition = last traded price greater than 30

another thing that might help it trigger (if not already set):

Make sure your refresh rate in guardian and on bet angel is at 200m/s, just to make sure you are moving as fast as possible with the market.

If you follow both Mikkys suggestions and also

Add a new rule type by clicking on the green plus icon
"Fix market order"
arm at 00:00:01 before event start time
trigger 1 time

That fixes the order at that moment, when IR as the prices move for automation purposes which ever runner is the lowest price becomes fav so the fav will constantly change through out the race but one thing it will never be is odds of 50+ so you need to fix the order at some point if your wanting to focus on and trade the starting fav IR

That should do it for you

Laying at those sort of odds i would definitely used fixed price rather than best, by using best you could have you lay placed well into the hundreds at least using fixed you know what your worst odds will be
