Hi Guys.
Need some help putting a bot together. It is basically a variation of backing the most likely winner.
I'm looking to restrict this to the favourite and perhaps even just the odds on favourites. Horses who should really win when the race is in their grasp.
I want to be backing at about 1.15.
I've had a look at doing this myself, but I'm not sure how to set the rule re backing just the favourite. And how can I change the rule from any favourite to just the odds on horses?

At the off time use the rule type
"Fix market order"
set it to trigger just once

Then if you want to ensure its odds on Just add the condition

"Fixed odds condition"
Selection Sorted by (Order of favourtism) 1
Actual SP
is "Less" than 2.0

one thing that worked ok for me in this scenario was to set the parameter to back the horse at 1.01, but only to fire the bet in with the condition that the back price of the favourite in position 1 was less than 1.33.

I had a mixture of results, but almost always got a bet matched, usually around 1.15-1.25. this was in practice mode.

I dont think there are any proftiable bots, every bot Dallas has posted eventually looses money. If any one can provide a consitent proftiable bot, I would be happy to paypal them some profits.

I think there are a few who have profitable bots.

I am currently well into a weeks worth of testing a profitable one. Took me a lot of effort to get there, but if this continues for another week I will take it live and see how it goes.

Thanks Dallas/Mikki.
Have made the alterations, see what happens.
Tempest 62. Dallas will be the first to tell you that these bots are just the initial idea and you have to use your own ideas and tweak them. I've tried them all and haven't made any money (lost) just using the basic bot.
In all honesty, in fifteen years of trying to make a second income from betting/trading, the only thing that has ever made me money has been matched betting. But now the bubble has certainly burst on that I think BA is my best option.

Hi Dallas.
I did as you said but the bot was backing any horse that was leading at 1.2.
What I specifically wanted to do was just back the favourite at 1.2, if it was the favourite at the start of the race.

Do you have a copy of the log?
If you fixed the market order at the start of the race as specified above it can only trigger if the fav trades at 1.2

I know this sounds pathetic but I don't know how to do a screen shot Dallas.
I'll check out a Youtube video and try and post up some shots. Might take some time lol!

On your keyboard just look for the key "PRT SC Sys Rq" its usually just to the right of the F12 Key - press that (you wont see anything happen but it will capture exactly whats on your screen at that moment)
Then just open up paint (usually start > all programs > accessories) and click paste then save

While your in paint make sure your username in bottom right corner is blurred out or hide before taking the screen shot

To attach it to a message when you have finished typing just below the "Submit button" there is a "Browse" button which you can they select the saved image from your comp

amen - I won't go into detail, but willhill/skrill killed matched betting for me round about mid march. that's when I seriously took to trading PROPERLY. tbh, given my developer background, I should have gone *straight* (cough) years ago, BUT the matched betting game was pretty easy money for quite some time (tho withdrawing profits from willhill/lads was ALWAYS a minor nightmare - should the matched bet have gone against you). Anyway, really happy to be slowly building some understanding and expertise in the hedged betting environment instead and seeing some good but tame profits now after an initial learning curve ;)

good luck to all other *converts*

Or do as I do and crop it before saving / uploading...
