Hi,

I'm trying to find the quickest way to know how much money I've put through a market.

The only way I know how to do this is to go into my P&L at the end of the day, go into each race and add up my stakes.

This is pretty time consuming, is there a quicker way to do this?

Thanks in advance
Ron

You can ask betfair and they will email you the details, people are often surprised by how much they actually turn over in a day when they see there figures

Yeah pretty eye opening when you add all the figures up!

That's ok I'll just continue doing it as I am, just wanted to make sure there wasn't a quicker way I was overlooking.

Thanks Dallas

Couldn't you download your bet history for settled bets into Excel and then sum them?

Especially over a year, Dallas!

When people question what I do for a living, I respond saying 'Hey, this is a business....MY BUSINESS, and last year I had a turnover of neraly £7Million

That usually shuts them up! :D

Sorry LeTiss but I feel compelled to ask! What's your P/L? Ballpark figure.

Turnover is not profit

They'll be some people with a turnover exceeding £1M, but are wearing shoes with holes in them

The easist way to check is in the matched bets tab and click average box at the top. Then just add up the numbers.

I had a funny feeling my curiousness might be met with profound humour rather than the golden carrot which I seek ;)

I think when I last looked my return to stakes was around 0.5-1% on average. Guess there plenty of ways of calculating turnover but I usually go the simplest way of adding up my stakes rather than liabilities.

A lot will depend on your style of play too, I try to do a lot of churning for PC purposes and bot a load of markets. I guess my percentage for manual trading would be maybe double. Still waiting for my Bethistory to downlaod from Betfair see if it's as I imagined it'd be though :?
