Good Morning
with my system I grade all dogs before the race and end up with 2 selections .
I've set up a simple bot on Greyhound markets. I place a lay bet for a set stake on a dog of my nomination 1 min before the off , at a set price too.

All easy so far. But here is what I would like to do . If my lay bet doesn't get matched say my fixed price is 6.0 and its currently 8.0 , I want the bot to lay the market favourite as long as its not my other selection.

Clear as mud :D
I'm trying to work on this great automation but stuck here
any help would be great
have a great Saturday

Place your lay bet using fill or kill - ie for 40 secs on your selection.
Set another place lay bet on fav 15 secs before the off (or after the fill or kill has expired) with the following two condtions
"Number of matched bets"
on "Market"
is "Equal" to 1

"Number of matched bets"
on "selection"
is "Equal" to 0

Hi Dallas on your first suggestion lay bet using fill or kill, is it set equal to 40 seconds ?

And you say set another place lay bet on fav I only want to lay that fav if its not my other selection ?

The fill or kill is set on parameters tab and just uses seconds there is no equal or greater than.

If its your other selection is the fav and has already been layed the condition
"Number of matched bets"
on "selection"
is "Equal" to 0
will prevent it being layed

Or you could use
"Number of place bets triggered"
on "selection"
is "Equal" to 0

If i understand you correct you want to pick 2 dogs if one is nt matched at your fixed lay price you want to lay the fav instead?
If thats right the info in my first reply is correct

My info gives me best dog and worst

Ok I lay the worst dog to set price say 6.0 if i cannot get that price its 8.0 for instance I then lay market fav !!! as long as its not my best dog

One other poiny on condition tab can find
"Number of matched bets"
on "selection"
is "Equal" to 0

But not THIS .....

"Number of matched bets"
on "Market"
is "Equal" to 1

thanks Dallas

So what is it your doing with the best dog? I assume this is either being backed or layed?

If your naot able to see
"Number of matched bets"
on "Market

You must be using a older version of Bet Angel

You can download the latest version here http://www.betangel.com/download/?product=BetAngelPro
Or a few days a even newer Beta version was released for download here viewtopic.php?f=46&t=11939

Providing your putting some sort of bet on your best dog the above condtions will lay the fav if your worse dog is not layed (but only if the fav is not your best dog).

If your not betting on the best dog at all (but want it excluding from being layed if its the fav) then you would need to set things up slightly different.

Either using a unmatched marker bet to identify if its the fav or not then the above condtions can still be used.
Or if you downloaded the Beta version of Bet Angel V1.44 then you can use the new feature of signals to add a signal to the fav to avoid it being layed if its your best dog.

If I can lay the worse dog at my set price or lower all ok, not interested in best dog no bet on anything else .

But if I dont get lay bet matched
I then lay the market fav if its not the bset dog according to my data

hope this makes sense

Easiest way would be to set up like this
"Place lay bet"
Nom Sel 1 (this will be your best dog and just going to put a marker bet on it to identify)
lay at fixed odds 1.01
fill or kill 2 secs

Basically a lay will be placed but no chnace of being matched but we can now use this to determin its your best dog and avoid laying if its the fav

Now add another rule type by clicking green plus icon
"Place a lay bet"
Nom Sel 2 (this is your worse dog which you want to lay with 1 min to go)
Lay at fixed odds (use what you want here)
fill or kill (use what you want here but i assume 40 secs will be enough)

Now add a 3rd rule type by clicking green pus icon again
"Place lay bet"
By order of favourtism 1
arm at 00:00:15 (or anytime after the fill/kill timer will of expired from the above lay)
set your stakes and odds etc

and add the following to condtions
"Number of place bets"
on "selection"
is "Equal" to 0

That single condtion means that it cant lay it even if it was your best dog as your best dog has had a lay triggered on it (even though unmatched)

Now you just have to select your best and worse dogs for each race on the main guardian page

That will do it for you

Hey Dallas morning tried this yesterday on practice mode ..it didnt fire in at all.

here are my timings
1st bet arm trigger at 00.0030
allow 1 time ... 5 before reaming

second bet 00.0015
third bet 00.0014

any suggestions to just get it to fire then I can tinker

If its not triggering at all it could be any number of things but most likely something very simple thats been overlook, did you have guardian switch the markets to a main Bet Angel screen or was the rule left to run just in the background in guardian?
If its the later its likely the way you have the cycling and refrseh times is whats stopped it from triggering.

I made a quick file for you (you will need to be using the new Beta BA V1.44 to use it)

On the main guardian page put your best dog for each race in Automation Nom 1
and your worst dog in Automation Nom 2

If your not switching to the markets manually make sure you have the "Automatically switch Bet Angel market box" on the top tab of the main page of guardian ticked with around 90 seconds selected (that could of been all that was wrong with your rule).
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
