I am trying to write an automation file, to wait till a coulle of secs before a race starts, and back every horse, with a price area, of say .. 8/1-60/1.
I would like it to use Betfair SP,Actual Sp, or projected Sp. I can understand the BSP wont be known, 2 secs before race-time.
I have tried all manner of bet types/comditijs, and the thing does nothing.
The log says nothing, which is part of the problem. Why isnt there an automation rules log, so, a user can see where the problem is ?
Anyway, how do I fix this ?
Thx
Back the field, within certain price bounds

I have tried with various stakes, real or portion of balance, and nothing is firing.
Couple of things looking at the rule,
Using fixed odds with actual SP's before the race has gone in play wont allow the rule to trigger.
Even if using fixed odds last traded price >8 & <60 with the rule type "Back all selections" all the runner have to be between these odds if any are not the whole rule wont fire
Am also sure the lowest % of bank that can be used is 0.1% and it does not recognize 0.05% although its a long time since i used or looked at this so not 100% sure on it without trying it.
Hope that helps

Ok, thx.
maybe I get round it, by, having .. Say 10 different back rules, and nominating by row, and testing each row, etc ?
I am concerned what will happen, if there are 10 rows to my rule, and the race has .. Say 6 runners.
The problem was not portion of balance, as I eliminated that as an area for concern.
Will test.

Yes if you make several rule types each looking at a different row and triggering just 1 time all those that have a runner between 8 & 60 will be backed at the same time, if you have more rows than there is runners for a particular race the excess rows will just be ignored.
But i would try it all in practice mode till you know you have it working correctly.
Any probs let me know
