My interest over the last 3 months since I began trading has been trading trends and reversals
I tend to prefer short term technical analysis on 1 minute time frames and 10 seconds, whist also watching WOM
The problem seems to be evening handicap meetings, they seem totally random. Some even with high volume circa 750k seems impossible to trade as do maidens and apprentice races, On one race this evening at Yarmouth someone consistently backed then layed 5k at or around the Zone and it made no difference to price activity at all, it was as if everyone knew it was an attempt at manipulation and ignored it, seems like some meetings are a law to themselves and defy logic
Can someone advise me that if you are looking for trend changes and less volatility what type of races to avoid, I can find no information on this and as Bet Angel Master class seems to have temporarily closed, I would appreciate some advice?

Afternoon races are much better quality alothough you can get some decent trends on the evening races but poor quality racing will mean much choppier markets. If you want to avoid volitilty Keep away from maidens, novices, bumpers etc and practically every race run on a AW track - look for the better quality races and those which have some form that punters can base there desisions on.
Also the risk meter found in the Market Overview might help when deciding weather to trade a race or not

the risk meter has not helped myself on the evenings this week I have traded only when the metre was in the green or nearly there only to find dramatic market movements looking about on the forum tho I clearly have not been paying enough attention to the race titles as I go full ahead boat in every race mainly down to the fact I cant trade in the day time
