Im trying to set up my recent Bet Angel VPS for the first time.
However upon trying to download files from Dropbox using the VPS Internet explorer i keep getting the security warning "your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"
How do i get the VPS Internet explorer to accept downloads?
VPS downloading from internet explorer issues
It should allow you to go straight to dropbox and download your files, since getting the VPS have you added any anti-virus, firewalls etc or changed any IE settings?
If not you can try going into the IE settings > security and ensure dropbox is not blocked or is a "trusted site"

No,i haven't set up any anti-virus software.
I have only downloaded bet angel and am now trying to download baf files that i have uploaded to dropbox.
Whenever i try to go on any website a box comes up asking me to add it to a allowed list.On the dropbox site i had to add about 10 different pages. So it should be on the allowed list. Not sure if this is normal for Internet Explorer as i use Google Chrome on laptop
Would running Google Chrome or something else cause any conflict with bet angel VPS?

Its strange its asking you to confirm every site, with IE open if you click in the top corner on the cog icon select internet options > advanced then 'reset IE setting to there default setting' that may help.
Yes you could try installing chrome it wont conflict in anyway.

I dont use any, tbh for what you should be doing on it there's not really a need to use any, your unlikely to be downloading stuff from unknown sources or opening dodgey emails etc.betmoneybet wrote:What Anti-virus ,sercurity software are you using for VPS?
Its surprising how many load it up with some sort of AV before starting to use and end up blocking all sorts of stuff they need.
Glad you got it going though
