I've started using Pacecards and set up an automation to offset back and lay with greening at 50 ticks in-play.
Most of the time it works fine but the odd occasion the lay bet doesn't fire although the lay price has gone beyond the 50 ticks.
I'm sure i've seen an explanation on the forum but cant find it
Any help would be appreciated

I imagine its a timing or keep bets issue.
Without seeing your Baf file, its a little hard to be specific .. but ..
Is the initial 'Back', in the pre-race or in-running mkt ?
If its in the pre-race, and the lay is sent, u need to add a condition, to keep the bet, once the mkt turns in play.

Likely to do with the way you have guardian set to refresh/cycle markets and are switching to them.
If you back bet has fired and also placed your lay but the market is not on your main screen and is being refreshed in guardian during the time window you have set for your "keep bets" guardian may be cycling through other markets so miss this instruction, you could increase the arm time of your keep bets or adjust some setting in guardian to ensure the rule is checked at the right times

I wasn't sure that after the back bet is matched and the offset bet is put in, that the offset bet is still dependent by the refreshing cycle (which is set to 200ms) in Guardian. I don't usually have the race on the main screen unless i'm doing something else.
