Looks like the market is gaining efficiency as common sense comes to the fore.

wouldent it make some sence for english people to buy euro.
if uk stays in then all should basically remain the same ,and you would have no loss (maybe commission or bank charges)
and if there is a scare and a shift towards leave then sterling will drop and can be bought back at a better price,id imagine about 25-30 % thats the max amount i can ever remember it falling in my lifetime,

Britain to stay, currently 1.39 .. implied probability of staying, as a function of stering, is 1.20 or so.

Think its a decent arb.

The pound surged in early market trading today, the finacial markets seem more assured?
I dipped my toes in at 3.75 and showing a healthy green, but think ill leave it all on the remain for the time being as I think it will drift a bit more today

Mkt just correcting to where it should be.

Remain likely to go off 1.22 or so, IMHO.

Thou, u could easily see snowball effect. Stocks rise, so, as is tied to being in, don't knows, prob vote stay.

Have a chunky position, and thinking of adding to it.

It looks like project fear is finally paying off after the Jo Cox murder halted the momentum of Leave.

Osborne trying to link the murder to the Leave side on ITV on Sunday was the latest shameful episode in Remain's disgusting, negative campaign.

A large section of Britain doesn't want the country turned into an overcrowded, multicultural hellhole, governed by unelected nobs in Brussels and in the interests of big business. The UK is dividing, just like the USA is.

Always puzzles me how so many betfair traders have in the main a hard right darwinian view of the world despite betfair trading being a parasitical pursuit/profession that contributes nothing of value to the world.

Maybe because we believe in free markets (or at least some of us do). Ps. not hard right, just liked my country the way it was / BF trading only a hobby now + run 2 small businesses and manufacture products in Britain so contribute a bit.

Well that's bound to spark some debate!

There are many areas that you could argue make no contribution, but the majority of modern economies are service based, of which many, you could argue, are 'not needed'.

I see myself as offering money for people to bet. Not much differance between me and a bookie i suppose.

And thank god it's tax free

I think it's easy to see where traders have added value. Wind the clock back a few years and you could bet into a 120% book on the Euros #value

Fair enough Superfrank but my posting was actually in response to some of the Twitterati Betfair Traders that i have read, which quite frankly have disgusted me.

BTW what would the world of sports trading look like without Gordon Brown http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/front_page/1207748.stm would it even exist at all???

Just trying to redress the balance.
