Quick question for the wise here.

I've found that certain combos of rules work very well together but ONLY if they are in separate instances, given that both have green out thresholds that would both interfere and/or negate one another. An example of this would be a B2L rule that id'd a shortening runner and placed a back bet with a rule monitoring the greening profit and kicking in at a given threshold. If all goes to plan, no further bets are triggered as the profit for the rule is satisfied. However, I also have another rule that deals with simple lay bets which also has a greening threshold (similar in target to the former B2L mentioned).

What do you guys do when facing this type of issue. Do you run two instances of BA with the rule running as required in each, do you add signals to the greening to indicate that you're talking about the B2L, rather than the lay... etc, etc.

My main issue here is that I'm running these two rules against the same betfair account. Would I be better to use my *partners* account (wink), to keep these two conflicts at bay??

Yes sometimes the only way to run certain rules together is by using different acounts, untill recently Betfair allowed users to have multiple accounts in there own name and some where using upto a dozen.

I think this is the best option (different [authorised] ID per rules set) as it's so frustrating to see a scenario where one rule set simply prevents another from running (this i think is the beauty of signals - you can literally see when things would have been triggered, even if they don't for one reason or another).

I'll investigate getting my wife to *start* using her account with the rules that she created a while back ;)
