Hi,
I am completely new to trading and was wondering if there is any automated bot that guarantees a small profit, or at least not a loss?
This is probably a stupid question – as I am sure everybody would be using it if there is! Also if not is there any bot that comes close to doing this in people experiences?

it is not a stupid question at all. you will find without exception, most people on here are constantly in flux in terms of finding a rule that returns a sustainable profit day in day out. what i will say is that you can run a rule over every race for days on end and come out with a profit, only to find that the next day the same rule gets blown away and all profits are gone. given that you have a random mix of events, this can be baffling to comprehend. however, you may find that the reason for the loss was down to a combination of course, race distance and event type. further analysis may then prompt you to exclude certain events. then (hopefully), you begin to see that *less is more*.JK135 wrote:Hi,

of course, figuring out the LESS part is 90% of the task. each rule you create will lean towards a particular race type (for example, i have a rule that is generally ok on races over 1 mile, but loses consistently on short flat races. rather than lose out on these races, you can either omit them, OR convert the same rule to be a lay, rather than back rule). just juggle it about and keep good records.
rest assured, i still have the exact same concerns and worries as yourself and have yet to comfortably switch on, load up and punch the air!! maybe tomorrow
