Back and offset, but only let Lay go in-play

So my previous question similar to this did have a solution (of sorts) but wasn't what I really wanted. There was too much manual setup.

I'm looking to back a horse at a fixed price. A price that I think might become available before the off. If this gets matched, then offset with greening with an offset of 2 ticks.

The problem I have is that I want to fill or kill the back bet, but i want the lay offset bet to be allowed to go in-play.

I can't see how to do it, other than setting up separate rules in the same automation file which mean I have to manually enter a Lay price and manually calculate the amount I am laying.

I'm sure I'm missing something really obvious here.

The easiest way to do this is how Shakespear explained in your last thread about using the rule type 'Keep unmatched bets' with the condition 'matched bets amount' or even use 'number of matched bets condition' is 'equal to' 1

Just so I get this, do you mean I create a back bet rule (without an offset, but with fill or kill), and then another rule to place the lay bet, and finally a 3rd rule to keep the lay as long as the matched bets equals 1 ?
That's what I did last night. But this meant I had to figure out the amount to lay and specify the price rather than it being done for me.

No you do what you said in your OP and create a rule to back with 2 tick offset with greening using fill or kill.
Then add a 2nd rule as shakespear said to keep unmatched bets and use the conditions specified to ensure only the lay part is kept after the back is matched - if you want the back keeping as well do the same way just dont include any conditions on the 'keep unmatched bets' rule

Thanks Dallas, and Shaky. This now works. I was overthinking and over complicating it, hence my problems.
